My ASR-10 needs 50 pin SCSi gear. In particular hdd's around 2 gig, A CD-ROM
drive, Zip drives, external cases, cables, etc etc...
If anybody has any of this "obsolete" stuff lying about waiting to be thrown
away, please let me know as perhaps it's not as useless as it appears. ;o)
Cheers,
Kim.

Mmm. The compatibility list doesn't mention them.
Is this the 50-pin centronics plug, or the "Paris" style in the 50 pin version?
Cheers,
Kim.

oh... and a Philips 4xCD-r burner, I think..... I pulled it from it's case,
but I 'probably' have the parts here somewhere to put it back in the case.
Should have some SCSI terminators around here as well somewhere.

Hey Kim.
I have a pile of this shit that I accumulated through the years
for my K2000.
No 2gb drives, but about half dozen 1GB Seagates, a SCSI zip that
I picked up from "The Brotherhood" for 5 bucks, on one of my
previous trips to your fair city, and several CD-Roms/burners
that may work with the ASR.
Also A bunch of cables, old SCSI cases/power supplies etc.
Just so happens I'm gonna be in Melb in a week or two.
Wanna hook up this time?
Let me know and I will bring over what I've got.
Kim.

Kim,
I'd definitely like to catch up regardless, but if you bring all that stuff,
beer and a counter meal are definitely on me!
Aside from switching and changing the ASR can of course take 7 SCSI devices
anyhow, so it all sounds good. I have a couple of 2 gig drives coming from
Perth shortly, and various other bits of hardware have turned up. Suffice
to say I'll just collect as much as I can I think. Anything I don't use immediately
can be put in storage in case anything breaks. Identical sized drives are
ideal too as the ASR can only copy from one device to another if the drives
are identical.
Let me know when you're coming. IIRC you stay only a short distance up the
road anyhow, so hopefully we can get together. Email me and I'll shoot you
my mobile no.
Cheers,
Kim.
