New plugins and Mac OS 9 vs. Windows... [message #73168] |

I have suddenly come to a realization... You PC guys are able to use the
new UAD-1 plugins in Paris!!! Can you also run the newer Waves plugins,
like the IR-1 and IR-L?
On Mac the new versions of both only run in OS 10, which leaves us Mac Paris
users in the dust. Maybe, instead of switching to a new DAW I just need
to switch to PC!
Hard to imagine after 18 years of being a Mac guy.
What would a smokin' PC to run Paris on cost me to put togther? Which Windows
OS do you guys run? Is the learning curve as scary as I think it'll be?
Am I totally crazy to be even thinking about this?

Or, is there a chance that some very bright Mac programmer can create a VST
wrapper to allow OS 10 plugins to function in OS 9?
