I had a modest MIDI sequence (12 parts) running in Cubase and initiated =
10
different Creamware softsynths on the 14 chip Pro card at 44.1 - 24bit.
I also had all ins/outs patched with 10 stereo busses in Cubase
via the Creamware card. All synth GUIs were open as was the Cubase
mixer showing all it's meters. I had one extra native softsynth running =
for good measure.

The CPU performance of the computer itself hung around 3-4%
with one spike at 8% while drawing the Cubase mixer. I had no way of =
seeing=20
the Creamware CPU because it won't boot up once Cubase has taken over =
it's resources.
It didn't seem to mind what I was doing to it.
Thanks for the cue Dimitrios!

All I can say is this is gonna be great in XTC mode! Kontakt and a =
bunch of other
NI stuff is next. That should show me where this box is really at.

Is it wise to install Kontakt on the C drive with it's samples on a =
seperate SATA or should I
install Kontakt entirely on the SATA?

I was also thinking of letting Kontakt have it's own drive and putting =
all other softsynths
on another IDE. I will be using it more than any of the others. Is it =
just their samples that=20
like to be on a different drive or the program itself?
Thanks,
Tom
