Just reread and saw you already have. Try replacing just the ram?
Just the power supply?

I'm more prone to say if you toasted something it would be the CPU, possibly
the RAM dude.

I would tend to agree - heat isn't as likely to fry a mobo as
much as a CPU, although an overheated CPU could fry adjacent
components if they're colse enough, I s'pose.
Jimmy, bring it to a 'puter tech first before you spend on
parts - what if it's just the CPU & you can pick a retro one up
cheap (since it's five years old)? That way you get to kee your
stable system intact.
If you DO buy a new mobo, though, you're definitely better off
getting new RAM, with a faster bus speed to match the
capabilities of the new board & processor.
