I agree. The original Great River fits your description of what you are

That's a laudable goal. We have to be careful that the various means we

Have you tried simply hooking the drive directly to the Motherboard
with an IDE cable? Just leave it sitting beside the computer and run
tests to see if it performs well. If it does, it would be my guess
that the caddie is only ATA33 and will not do the higher speeds.

Agreed. when I'm micing a kit, the GR always goes on the OH's. Too bad these
are special order items, and fairly expensive now. The
