Hi everybody!
My computer hacker whiz kid friend owes me $250. I'm thinking instead of pestering him for the money, I should ask him to build me a new PARIS machine, based on some of the "laundry lists" of parts I see posted here occasionally.
So what can I build for $250 or so that will run PARIS in XP as well or better than this old, reliable Windows 98 Celeron beast? (I wouldn't mind if the new machine was quieter than said beast.)
Ideally, I'd like to just hand my friend a shopping list, and have him hand me a new machine a few days later. But, if he's not into it, I might be able to just do it myself.
So . . . what're the latest theories on the ideal PARIS rig?
