Hey Dimitrios,
I know this doesn't answer your question directly, and my ears are probably
one step up from a cow's, BUT, I've been using the 20 bit returns on the MEC
for my outboard reverb, and it sounds just fine to me. I don't have an 8out
card in my MEC, so I can't even test 20 vs 24 FX routing. I would guess the
difference would be pretty small unless your mixing stuff with alot of soft
passages.
