possible. Is the idea of buying 4-5 RNC Compressors for drums along with a
couple of good compressors for vocals and bass a crazy idea. The goal is to
get the signal close enough on the way in that any touch up can be done with
Paris software thus eliminating the latency situations.

I'm guessing that most would find this ludicrous, but if anyone is
succeeding with such an idea I would be curious.Hardware is almost always better than software... your idea is
definitely a good one. The plugs are still useful for "mild
treatment" though.

comparisons between the UAD1 1176LN and my own UREI 1176LN, and could find
nothing very different about the sounds of the two. I could not pick a
preference. The other great thing about plugs is you are not stuck with the
results. And they are far more cost effective. In fact I ended up seeling my
hardware 1176 as I was never using it.

That's about it, ain't it? I'm probably as anti-pill a guy as you'll meet
though I understand that sometimes it's necessary. I'm not elitist about it.
I just have a real problem with the way it's admired in today's society and
how natural cures are pushed down from view by the 'powers that be'.
