Well Kerry, I did install 2.2 today, and after about 5 minutes, I went back to 2.1. Some of the C-16 features that I use all the time just did'nt work in 2.2. In fact, with the exception of the C-16 problems, 2.2 looks exactly the same as 2.1. I seem to recall that when I did get 2.1, the old F.A.Q. site stated that the 2.1 was intended for the Black C-16,(and 2.2 for the Blue) and that seems to be true. I really should get the 3.0 at some point, as this is the majority of my income, and I owe it to myself, and my clients to offer the best that I can. Thank you very much. John Houston. Oh BTW, That pesky HD3 outfit thats been giving me crap for my inability to run @96K, just sent over a backup hard drive of one of the clients we BOTH work with (to have me remix the record cause the client likes MY sound better) and they recorded the WHOLE BLOODY THING @ 48K. So much for their HI TECH B.S.

Drag about 2.2 - sorry for the waste of your time, I forgot that bit of info ("hey, it must be .1 better, right?" - d'oh). I should get that info on the Wiki.
Hehe. Well, well, using 48k when they have 96k capabilities, huh?
Three possibilities spring to mind:
1) They translated it to 48k on export for you out of courtesy.
2) They advertise 96k, but (at least some of the time) they don't actually use it. It does put increased strain on a system and it's not unknown to introduce bugs and "gotchas".
3) They know you're a better mixer, and that the client was probably going to wind up having to take it to you to remix out anyway no matter what they did, so they simply planned ahead for the inevitable.
