Hi all

whenever I do to one the yahoo.video or google.video sites that are linked
here all I get is the quicktime logo with a question mark instead of seeing
the videro

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Have the latest and greatest version installed.

Don

Don... are you using firefox? I'll betcha you wouldn't get that message
with IE. I have used firefox for quite a few years dealing with issues as
you stated... and I finally quite using it. There are others that claim it
is the best thing since peanut butter, but I refuse to accept that. It has
more bugs than a Louisiana summer night... as far as I am concerned... Just
my opinion. Anyway, I did finally get quicktime to work in firefox, but I
honestly don't remember what I changed in the settings... Sorry I can't be
more help.. perhaps someone else knows what to change....

A lot of online videos have been created with QT7 using H.264 codec, which
wasn't in v6. Could be your IE Quicktime plugin just wasn't the latest; or
your browser just wasn't set to use the latest version. Updating from
within one browser doesn't necessarily update the plugin for other browsers.
