much about subtractive synthesis programming that instrument, and had
such joy performing with it. I still have patch sheets somewhere with my
favorite MicroMoog patches written down.

Later I had a MultiMoog, along many other synths based on subtractive,
additive, FM, sampling and combined approaches, and a plethora of
software-based instruments, including subtractive synths that take me
back to the Micro.

As far as I can remember from six years of posts on this newsgroup; that
SMPTE card for the MEC never functioned properly for the Post guys who
purchased it. The manufacture represented that it worked, however it does
require a seperate generator for the SMPTE signal.

Maybe Martin Harrington can shed some additonal light on this subject.

I've seen this cards on eBay for under $50 US., and one recently for $250 or
so.

That happend to me before in a video store full of patrons.

It was called armed robbery and twenty of us paid up nice and easy.

The *crew* was working real methodical and I had enough time to pull
my driver's license along with several hundred dollars and stuff it behind
a video box on the shelf. When they got my wallet it had some receipts and
a few token ones for good luck.

I almost forgot about that one...

Any tip ?
Regards,
DimitriosHi Dimitrios,

I think this card has the same sound as their DX effects.

The "Studio Verb" is smoother than my MPX1, but not as wide sounding. There
is "motion" in the Lexicon verb that the DSP/FX algo doesn't have.

The DSP/FX plugs use very little CPU time. I'd get them instead if you want
their sound.

All the best,
Mike

If you need to sync PARIS to timecode, get the MIDI Man box, and synch PARIS
to that. It's around $300 US, if I remember right.

idered using a cheapo linksys or netgear router? It would
give yo much more flexibility and probably fix your problem. never had
much luck using just a crossover cable.

What do you have set up for the gateway?

How are you connecting? net mount or folder browsing? If you can see the
other machine to begin with, your configuration is probably ok and I would
focus on whatevers between the two network cards.Hi,
The same setup works fine with two xp's
As per Gateway ,nothing I don't really know what to do with it...
The xp computer can browse the Me drives.
I cannot though explore the Xp drives from within Mellenium, yet...

Oh,
So I guess I brought some old "fresh" idea around...
With wires you could assign the the out wire to an effect return wire =
in to
save on Paris channels.
I also tried the wires with drumtracks.
You could send all drumtracks to the same wire channel (i.e. 0 ) and =
then

and aux 2 engaged with same volume for both
etc....

6 I can leave the return of the drumtracks on auxe's returns but I use
instead wire out #0 for aux 1 and wire out #1 for aux 2

7. Then I go to two free audio tracks and put there wire in #0 and #1
accordingly.

8. I pan them hardwired left and right. I can take it further with eq or
whatever from there....

So I have a compressed drummix stereo with EDS compressor using two
instances of EDS comp.

9. You can write down the compressed stereo track and bring it in along with
unprocessed drumtracks ,slide it until it sounds right nad voila.

I really like the eds compressor on gentle crush setting , I also favour the
Opto.

Cheers,
DimitriosAssuming from my previous post about stereo compressing we can take it one
step further.

1. Use 6 auxes.
2. All auxes must be prefader.
3. All faders must be down.
4. Aux1 is the left front aux2 is the middle aux 3 is the right front, aux
4 is the back left ,aux 5 is the back right and aux 6 is the sub.
5. If you have more than one card you buy those new micromixers from
Behringer 22 Euros each ! that mix 4 channels (mono) into one.
So all Aux 1 of say four cards go thru Paris hardware in one of these mixers
and the output to your amplifier or your active monitor.
6. Now moving each auxe's volume you pan your sound wherever you please.
7. Note that you have to put on every auxe's secon
