Word Clock and multi Mec gurus update [message #86875]

After trying multiple combinations of David and DJ's ideas
I am still unable to see more than the Master hardware device
be it 442 or a MEC. =20

There is a problem with using Card D as the master card.
It's mixer doesn't allow a Control Room out. That's a no go=20
for me.

Any other ideas that you can think of ? I wonder if there is any
chance the 4 MEC setup will work if this is so flakey with my gear?

Sorry your having so many problems. I've got 2 mecs and a 442 working here.
Mecs on card A and F (6 card system) 442 on card B.
It just worked right out of the shoot. I'm using a GenX6 word clock. All
short Zaolla cables. All cards in a Magma chassis.

Sounds exactly like my setup with only 5 cards.
I'll try one more time before going back to two
Mecs before DJs shows up for another round.

In the paris.cfg I am using:
(Space)
UseHouseSync=3D1

Is this what everyone else is using? Should it be
at the top, bottom or somewhere in the middle?
I'm thinking at the top all of the sudden since timing=20
is so critical. Up until now it's been on the bottom of=20
the list for me. Let's see . . .=20

Okay problem solved. All this time I was thinking that I moved=20
Paris from the Program Files folder to C:Paris Pro . Turns out
it was still accessing the paris.cfg file from the Program Files folder.
I've fixed that and all ins/outs are working! Simple once you know
the answer huh ? .

I will still need your Mec DJ so I'll send you a check once you give me
the shipping to add to it. Thanks for all the help you guys.

A trick I usually do when moving/killing/archiving user profiles at work is
send it to a compressed (zip) folder so that none of the info can be
accessed by a program EXE but is still existant right where you might need
it in the future and easy to unpack in case of emergency at a local machine
(IE, your computer) level.
