Hey everybody, I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. I tried a search on it and didn't really find anything, though that may be due to my lack of search skills...I've been running PARIS 2.2 on a Win98se machine for years and I'm doing a little remodeling inside the computer. I know there are WinXP drivers but I've only heard about them working on v3. Does anybody know if they will work on v2.2? I'd love to get more RAM going.
Thanks!

I can't swear to it but I believe the XP drivers were tested on v2.0, 2.2 and 3.0.
To my knowledge Win98 and WinXP are both 32 bit systems and will not see or use more then 3gig of ram.
XP can be a solid rig but if you plan to use your existing components, ie, motherboard, hard drives, etc, be careful. Some older comps will not work with newer components or software. For
instance, I can not load Win7 32bit on a 32bit XP machine...to my knowledge.
FYI - I just picked up 2 full XP comps (computer, keyboards, mice and flat panel monitors) from a local pawn shop. Both are Pentium 4 XP machines @3.0 speed and each with 1+gig ram, 200+gig SATA hard drives at 7200rpm, DVD drive and Radeon X300 dual output video cards. I paid $140 for both out the door. Yep. The saleman said they don't have much call for XP machines. They were not on the shelves. They were back in the warehouse. I did fresh XP installs and SP2 update and both rigs scream although I did have to replace both DVD burners. I went to OutletPC and purchased 2 memorex DVD burners for $24 bucks each.
Thought you might like the info.

Yeah, I've heard really great things about these drivers. Sadly, I am a student and totally broke. I'm only running a single proc, and my friend recently gave me his copy of winxp and an xtra 1gig stick of ram, so I thought I'd try the upgrade. I don't really have $50 to spend though, and heard the Chris Thoman driver is good and was free, at least back in the day, so I'm trying to locate that.
