ever seen. Kevin Spacey's love for his subject is in every frame,
and he sings all the parts himself. Quite well too.
Back in the 60's we all thought this "night club jazz" was way
too unhip for us... hah!
The first time I heard Sinatra from before 1955, it almost gave
me a stroke. My dad just played the later scooby-doo stuff,
and I had no idea what he had done earlier.
This will give you the same reaction for Bobby Darin.
Great, great movie. Not to be missed.

Oh,
So I guess I brought some old "fresh" idea around...
With wires you could assign the the out wire to an effect return =
wire in to
save on Paris channels.
I also tried the wires with drumtracks.
You could send all drumtracks to the same wire channel (i.e. 0 ) and =
then
open a new Paris channel that hass all drums on it.
Then apply a EDS effect like compressor....
I guess you have tried that already right ?
Regards,
Dimitrios
ps: I installed subsystem effects on Me !

Formatting with Z:64 simly changes how the drive stores the information on
the hdd. It makes the (I think) cluster size as big as possible, so when
you're retreiving large files like audio files, it takes as few clusters
as possible, meaning less traffic and mucking about by your OS to get the
information on and off the drive.
As I understand it, if you format an 80 gig hdd and also format a 60 gig
hdd, they will have different Z settings by default, hence there are no file
compatibility issues between the different settings. It just controls the
size of each data chunk on the drive, but a file read on or to the drive
will come off again exactly as it was.
Cheers,
Kim.

NO you are not loosing the reverbs on AUXES !
Thats what I heard before but I tried.
I use Me and I have the subsystem installed in Me....
Even the stereo perspective is rtained in auxes !

You add all the following at the end of the stockfx.ini file in your
system\ensoniq\plugins folder for Me Win98 and in system32\ensoniq\plugins
As I said for effecting a group of channels with EDS effect you put wire out
0# in aux1 first slot effect.
Then you engage the aux1 on the channels you wanna further process like kick
snare hihat and overheads.
Then you go to an empty track and put on eds effect slot wire in #0 , there
you will have a mix of all your engaged drumtracks.
Note that having AUX1 same level for all tracks you can have the same rouph
balancing of levels as you have on your indivindual tracks.
Then you put a EDS compressor.a reverb (mono version) whatever.
There is some samples delay on that but anyway...

Dimitrios

3.I open aux1 and aux 2 on all drumtracks, here I have one kick, two =
snares
(top/bottom) two overheads (L and R) one ride and three toms
.
4. Now I put all auxes on pre post and I put all faders down to zero.
5. I put all drumtracks in the stereo field i.e Overheads L I open =
only aux1
and close aux2, the opposite for overhead R, the volume now is on =
auxe's
knob.
For kick I have both aux1 and aux 2 engaged with same volume for both
etc....
6 I can leave the return of the drumtracks on auxe's returns but I use
instead wire out #0 for aux 1 and wire out #1 for aux 2
7. Then I go to two free audio tracks and put there wire in #0 and #1
accordingly.
8. I pan them hardwired left and right. I can take it further with eq =
or
whatever from there....
So I have a compressed drummix stereo with EDS compressor using two
instances of EDS comp.
9. You can write down the compressed stereo track and bring it in =
along with
unprocessed drumtracks ,slide it until it sounds right nad voila.
I really like the eds compressor on gentle crush setting , I also =
favour the
Opto.
Cheers,
Dimitrios
