A client of mine is setting up a 5 stereo mix in ear system and he would
like his monitor tech to be able to sample any mix along with a 6th ST
master mix from the tech position. He asked if I knew of a switching unit
that would do this and I can't for the life of me Google anything to this
effect.
Anyone here have any thoughts?

Thanks
Rob

Hey Robert! I would say a mixer or digital mixer. You might be able to rig
some thing. Rolls, ART, and SM Pro Audio comes to mind.

This is usually a job for the AFL solo on the mix main outs
of the desk... in more elaborate set-ups, the monitor guy
actually has a wired (or wireless if a wired version is not
available) in-ear pack of the same brand wired into the AFL
feed.

Coleman Audio makes some passive speaker and I/O switchers.

Yea, this was my response as well, but he said his mixer was not able to do
this.

would a used say, Yamaha 01V from ebay do this? Last I looked those were
going for about $500. That'd give you compression, EQ and a boatload of
auxes w/ 2 dedicated REV500 FX processors if I remember correctly. Maybe an
old panasonic RAMSA if those are selling around the same price.
