Hey guys, just added the fourth EDS card to my system via the Avid 7 Channel
PCI Extender Chassis. I did not check the IRQ's after installation, just
figured I'd fire it up and see what would happen. All seems to be working
just dandy. After the fact, I went in to check the IRQ's and noticed that
2 cards share IRQ 5 and the other 2 cards share IRQ 11.

Just curious to know if this matters at all.

Tyrone

Nope,

Not if it's working. I would check to see if either IRQ 5 or 11 is sharing
with the AGP. If not, you should be good to go unless you've got a FW or
another PCI based audio interface on one of those IRQ's.

Thanks Deej! In checking I noticed the following:

IRQ 05 - 2 EDS cards, RME audio card, PCI Asus video card.
IRQ 11 - 2 EDS cards, network card ((not in use)USB controller.

It seems everything is grabbing these two IRQ's. Any suggestions? Also, any
reason DMA should be enabled on the CD/DVD burner?

Not sure about sharing with the RME. If both are being used simultaneously
there might be a trainwreck....but maybe not. You never k now until you give
it a try.

good luck,

It's all working so far. My RME is an 2 channel input/output (Digi96) card.
I monitor Paris in digi mode with it. I've been testing the system...recording,
etc...so far, so good.
