Probably wise to have some kind of static protection, make sure the MEC is
off/unplugged. Have a static bag ready to go right into with it when
removed. Don't shuffle your feet on the carpet while handling it....

don't fill the mec with oil or water first.
don't use the jaws of life.
don't use your teeth without consulting your dentist first.
don't do stuff like that and you should be fine...oh yeah, don't
listen to anything deej says since his water less trip under the sun.
