I posted this idea on PlanetZ but I'll repeat it here.
Since I feel like satuation/clipping has more to do with bigger mixes (obviously
a big selling point in paris with its ability to crank levels) this is one
area I've been concentrating on more than summing issues.
There is a modular synth addon for SCOPE called Adern Flexor. Included in
it is about 5-6 saturation modules:
http://adern.com/manuals/flexor/reference/shapers/saturation /soft_sat.htm
My idea is to strap these across multiple channels in SCOPE while streaming
my mix from a native app through them.
I'll be doing some tests and let you guys know how they come out.

The Adern stuff is an add-on to the modular synth. Probably not worth it for
you, since I don't hear a lot of modular synths in bluegrass tunes ;-) Anyway,
from what I've heard of your mixes you're looking, if anything, for greater
clarity not better fuzziness.
I've spent most of the past three days spending my free time with this stuff.
It's far more intuitive working in non-XTC mode than I thought (esp with
the nView stuff so I can have one screen for Scope, one for Live, and one
for other stuff), and I haven't even read the manuals yet, though I'm about
to start. And the Bowen synths, omigod omigod omigod, I'm really mad at myself
I didn't do this sooner.
Are you using the 'fancier' mixers with the f/x and EQs and such? Or are
you still working mostly with this stuff as a better RME card?

Dimitros yes I saw your post, need to read it again.
I am having some trouble just getting unit gain from this. I send it signal
with no tube knobs up and the level is reduced. It seems about 8-10db of
output gain is needed to adjust this.
It also seems like processing is applied even with the knobs all the way
down.
that being said I like what I hear so far, subtly increasing the drive and
the transients get softly rounded yet not muffled.
