Cost for a Paris rig? some price breakdowns? [message #103210] |

About how much would it cost to put together a Paris rig?
I have no current Paris gear, nor do I have a computer that can run Paris.
I'm looking for a breakdown in cost like for the best paris rig i.e fastest cpu/mobo/ram that has been known to be rock solid, magma chasis prices?, current prices for paris gear i.e mec, inputs, adat, c16, edc?
I'm looking to have 32 inputs and would kinda like to know what budget I would need.

My new rig which is built around the Asus P5B MB and P965 chip set came in
at just over $700 CAD
this rig has 4 gigs of ram, an Intel E9400 processor, two 500 gig HDD (one
hot swappable) a 160 gig system drive and is housed in a 4 unit rack case.
The reason I went this route is we were going to live dangerously and try
and install 2 -EDS cards and 2 - UAD-1e cards on the Motherboard and it
looks like we succeeded.
I haven't done much on the rig yet but so far it's been solid as a rock.
As for Paris component prices the EDS cards are running $150 USD, an ADAT
card is still pushing $200 USD, a MEC is around $75 USD and a C16 is roughly
$50 USD
Hope that helps
