Hi to all the gang.
I've been back and lurking for about a month. As always, its good to see the
newsgroup is still well visited.
Things are starting to roll with my wife's next project, so the studio is
getting a good dustoff.
Well, over the last couple of weeks I've been going back and forth over
whether to keep Paris or sell off most of it and go with Nuendo. With some
recent posts, I've decided to go ahead and keep Paris for the project that
is coming up.
So the question I haven't seen a definitive answer to is whether dual core
CPUs can be used with Paris (with stability, of course). The biggest issue
I've run into is with the transport locking up after a while.
However, if I use the boot switches /onecpu /intaffinity, everything seems
to work fine. It's just using half of the CPU's ability.
System specs: Athlon 64 X2 3800+, Epox MB, 1GB ram, XP Pro, blah blah blah
I'm looking forward to using Paris again. It sounds great, as always, and
now I can toss some more goodies on it thanks to Chuck and friends.
Take care.
