Okay. I've worked many hours with 1 EDS card in any of the four PCI slots.
Putting my little kit of 4 EDS cards back in immediately hoses the system.
Which seems weird, since 1 EDS card works perfectly in any slot.....

Anyway, what's my next move? I would love to have a 4-card system, but would
be satisfied with 3. Anything less would be a bad thing.

Got the skinny on the IRQs:

PCI bridge - (blank)
USB controller - 10
USB controller - 11
USB controller - 5
USN controller - 3
USB controller - 10
PCI Bridge - (blank)
IDE - (blank)
Ethernet - 4
SerialBus controller - 10
Bridge VGA - 10
Slot-1 Media device - 6 (this is the EDS card, I assume)

1. Talk to Asus.
2. Disable USB, Ethernet and everything else of use.
3. Get motherboard that isn't shit.
4. Get a new hobby.

Is there no way to change IRQ settings?

Talk to Asus, I guess?

manual.

Get 13 slot Magma. Put all 4 EDS cards in Magma and put Magma host card in
PCI slot 6.

The Magma is only for people that are ready to make music. For those of us
that like to keep the pc case open and jockey cards around and reboot ad-infinitum,
the magnum is the wrong choice.

God I wish I had a magma 5 years ago.

Riiiiiight.

Although that's the same link twice.

Jeez, Deej. Ain't senility a bitch.

If I can't bend Asus to my will, I'll snatch one of those, probably.

Sorry man,

I guess this one didn't copy first time around

.............and yes, senility is a bitch, but it does allow for plausible
deniability....;o)
Here's one that's ripe for the pickin'. You may be able to find a better
price, but not by much and this one looks to be all there. These work fine
for Paris but since it's the one with the flat cable, you will never be able
to use any kind of PCIe upgrade adapter. I've got one exactly like this and
also a 13 slotter. I've been diggin around in my notes and have discovered
that a 7 slot Magma for 4 x EDS cards might be a crap shoot, depending on
your mobo. I was only able to get two of my RME cards on the same IRQ with
the 7 slot board, but I had a 13 slot Magma on another one of my PCI slots.
I just don't want to lead you down the primrose path here. A 13 slot unit
would be a better bet for you..........but hell man, you could give the 7
slot unit a try .
