Another item I liked at AES was Izotope’s new restoration suite. Far better
than Waves or Bias Soundsoap, this package comes in a $1199 version that
is competitive with the Algorithmix package, which is about three times as
expensive. Even more dramatic... Izotope is offering a $349 version that
is extremely effective and is available at an intro price of $199. I’m in
at the $199 price point.
Demo available.

Magix is going to release a new restoration suite soon (something like
Samplitude Master Restoration) that should be competitive. Competition
is good!

I just tried this. It is by far, the most effective noise reduction suite
that I have ever used.......beats the Waves stuff like a red headed
stepchile.

I'm buying it.

Thanks for posting this up.

Hey this part is cooltoo..

>begin paste>
Note: While RX is a standalone application, iZotope is
currently developing plug-in versions of RX's real time modules
for use in your favorite DAW. When you buy RX or RX advanced,
you will receive these plug-ins at no additional charge when
they are released. RX plug-ins are currently planned for early
2008.
</end paste>

That'd be useful if you have a noisy indvidual guitar amp track
or something along those lines; and they're gonna throw 'em in
gratis.

"listenability" that a freind of mine sent me from Texas which was so
terribly clipped and full of other digital garbage that I figured it was
hopeless.
