nd the ball. ;o)
That was pretty much the last time she was able to move around properly.
I'm a little sad I didn't think it was a good idea to throw the ball for
her.
Molly was put to rest Monday last week. She'll be remembered for being a
legend. ;o)

Good to see someone take care about all this idiotic hatemailings that have
showes up here lately. No one can help what has happened and is happening in
New Orleans right now. The only thing is to hope that the people of America
and the American Gouvernment now have learned something for the future,
that the infrastructure and weather in a country have more importance than
all wars for riches and oil, just to take care of the ultra high standards
of living in some places in the world like America and have will to do
something with it.
I saw a documentation program yesterday in Norwegian TV that showed up how
USA now are trying to take control over the oil from WestAfrica, just to see
that China a

I think it includes cable TV, talk radio and partisan web sites, and
it's fed by "think tanks" who are funded to come up with arguments and
distractions that support particular outlooks, whether they coincide
with reality or not. The products are rationalizations, generalizations,
emotional distractions and even villifications. In other words, politics
as usual.
In the case of TV/radio, for the sake of spectacle extreme positions are
pitted against each other, sometimes without regard for moderate
positions. Or a single extreme position is expounded with the help of
screened callers so that there is no need to be distracted by evidence
or logic that contradicts the particular perspective being rationalized.
In no way do these "entertainment" programs present the full range of
perspectives and facts that would be useful for thoughtful awareness,
although they usually pretend that they do. Major conclusions built on
the basis of what these shows present are likely to be incomplete and
faulty.
Add to that the human tendency to project our own experiences, beliefs
and prejudices onto others, plus our gigantic egos, and you get the kind
of self-righteous certainty that justifies rudeness to others while
ironically obsfuscating the quest for truth. Also, there's something
about communicating via text that allows people to be rude in ways they
probably wouldn't be if they were together in an actual room.
In 20 years? Good question.

compensate for latencies.

I've known Michael for a while. He's a friend and an incredible talent. Same
with Claytor. We go way back. Their support for me has nothing to do with
whether they agree with my political thinking. I know that for sure. I would
defend them, and you too, if something like this started up with someone's

We've both pissed in the pool and stirred up a mess here. I think this is
more about that in the bigger picture.

read the NTFS drive. Since all my HD's on my Paris system are FAT32, I
format my WinXP drives on my Cubase DAW FAT32 also so they can all see each
other.

scenario. One of the *issues* with this is that files are being processed at
32 bit in SX and then lightpiped over the 20 bit feed to Paris.
I have done some critical listening on this and I discovered that cumulative
quantization errors when streaming many tracks while truncating from 32 bit
float through a 20 bit digital feed was creating some harshness in the
1-2kHz frequency range.
To solve this, I found a very flexible dither algo and have instantiated it
on every channel of my Cubase mix template. Now each track is being dithered
as it is passed from SX to Paris. I'm mixing a small project that I tracked
yesterday. What I'm hearing at the end of the songs as they fade sounds just
like tape hiss. I used mostly class A, solid state preamps on
