I don't often post here on the site, but i enjoy reading all the ideas you
guys offer. I was reading some old post, trying to catch up to the new ones.
Someone had a question about using two mecs and getting the sample rate light
to match on both mecs at either 44 or 48. I know both mecs will record at
the sample rate of the master mec, but it is nice to see those lights on
both mecs reading the same.

1. Set your desired sample rate at either 44 or 48 in your project window
2. Click your sync source and change from internal to digital. The lights
will blink on and off 2 or 3 time and the second mec should sync with the
master mec.
3. Once the sample rate changes, switch back to internal and wait for the
lights to stop blinking and you're set.

Hey! It works on my system. I didn't know if you guys new this or not. Just
tring to be helpful. Let me know if it works for you, if you even care to
try it.

Do you haave any other digital devices interfaced with either MEC? I tried
what you're talking about a while back and the devices that were interfacing
with my Paris system (in my case, 56 digital connections) all lost sync
with the Paris system and stayed lost until I truned everything off and then
rebooted everything.

No, i don't have any other digital devices connected just 2 mecs,4 eds, and
4 1000 inputs cards. This trick may not help those in your case with digital
devices. Has anyone else try this.
