Hello everyone..
I bought a Paris 3.0 System off of ebay last year it appears to be brand new looking. the MEC came with 2 analog ins, 2 adat ins, 2 analog outs, and a smpte card. the cards are all black, except the smpte. the mec is a blue paris pro model. it also came with a c16pro, the scsi cable and ethernet cable, and a os 9.3 mac g4 with 2 eds cards. and all the discs and manuals etc.
before i ever experimented with the system i noticed that one of the eds cards was corroding pretty bad, so i bought a new one from thesoniq, and installed it. I started paris up and set that card as the master. restarted paris, and well, I cant get the c16 to light up or do anything, and when i open a new project and click on any other "window" besides the mixer window, the system freezes and i have to hard reset the g4.
this g4 also has the oasys pci card installed on it, if that matters.
I havent been able to do anything with this system yet. I dont know what to do besides either uninstalling paris and reloading it or buying a new dedicated xp pc, or something.
any suggestions?

How badly is it corroding? I don't suppose you could upload a photo, could you? It might give us an idea of whether it can be salvaged.

I was thinking more that if it's not hard to salvage he could put one more card in his system for the cost of a little elbow grease
