Yep.......my Untramatch unit just went belly up. Unbelievable. I can now say
that *every* piece of Behringer gear that I have ever owned (except for
one-an older Ultramatch SRC 2000)......has either pissed me off or
endangered my studio in some way.

headphone amp caught on fire
line mixer was so abominably awful that I *gave* it away because I couldn't
sell it with a clear conscience.
Little midi mixer thingie with moving faders fried a USB port on my mobo
when it's USB port went south
Ultramatch Pro SRC 2496 died

I'm getting to the point where I'm glad the FCC is keeping some of their
products out of this country. To say they are substandard is a gross
understatement.

Just reading their toilet paper manuals showed me what crap they were. The
manuals reflect that the authors did not even want to think the equipment
at all. They SUCK period. I hope to never own a piece of their gear, though
the arrogant folk in rec.pro.audio.live or whatever it's called love the
32 channel digital behringer, but I wouldn't put much stock in it.

You'll be interested to know that the Chinese prices will increase over the
short/long terms due to the fact that approximately 5 or 6 months ago, the
Chinese gov't decided to revalue their currency to a pool of international
currency vaules whereas prior to that, their value was directly tied to out
own currency causing a stable, easily controlled profit margin. Now, in
order for them to maintain predicatable profitable prices and avoid
potential losses caused by currency value differentials betwen their pool
and the USD, they'll have to run a safety margin upmark on US exports. If
you shop at Target or some of the other importers of Chinese products,
you've already seen a bump. That will continue to rise over the short term.
