Wondering if we all have opinions on a core or must have setup when it comes to plugins or effects while recording or mixing. Paris effects, directX or whatever.

My goto:

Recording:
Ultra clean - just plate reverb (mono) for who or whatever needs it during tracking.

Mixdown:
NoLimit 1.3 on global bus - uses card A resources

Mike's DP hall stereo for my room ambience
Mike's DP Vocal stereo for my vox's
Mike's predelay for pre DP vocal

Paris DSP comp using opto (per BrianT)- placed on several tracks
Paris DSP gate for toms
Paris Chorus and delays for instrument layering
