Imagine being able to have the functionality of Cubase SX, being able to
track with FX with zero latency, being able to bus anything anywhere and to
insert anything anywhere, have a motorized control surface, being able to
use UAD-1 cards and external hardware with latency compensation and to be
able to accomplish this all on one computer at 24 bit with no truncation,
clocking hassles, no wondering if the boot sequence will work *this
time*.........no needing to use Windows ME because you need 8 x ADAT modules
to *talk to* the outside world and a mix bus that sounds as big as Paris .
I'm not sure I'm there yet and I want to see how Chuck's project comes out
before I decide to sell my stuff, but believe it or not, I'm actually tired
of workarounds. I'll hang in there for the sound if I can't achieve it
another way but I may have found something here I can live with and then
some. I'm getting *big* out of this thing and I've just scratched the
surface. Yeah, I know how to work around just about anything these days but
I'm a man on a mission. It's no longer much fun to see what I can get away
with. Been there, done that.
