I use both.
Paris for tracking/mixing.
Samplitude for mastering, editing, compiling, etc.
The real-time pitch shifting/time stretching is awesome.
Every object can have it's own eq/effects, and you can compile
your final cd with all tracks/gaps/index points exactly where
you want them, all in the virtual domain....no need to render,
just hit "Burn CD".
What you see/hear in the multitrack editor is *exactlty* what
you get on your final CD.
It is everything Paris should have been. (and for that matter, PT).
The midi/vsti side is a little quirky but quite usable, and
getting better with every software revision. (not quite up to
Cubase SX standard yet, but Magix are working on it constantly).
If I was to ditch Paris as a multitracker, Samplitude would be it!

I agree whole heartedly! Samplitude/Sequoia sound is stunning to say the least.
Dedric and I have been waiting for version 9 to see if this could in fact
replace our main goto DAW.
I have yet to mix or track a complete songinto Samplitude. Like you, I use
it for mastering and cd finalization. After I finish working on this current
mix project, I'll take some time to mix a multitrack project (40-50) tracks.
