As near as I can tell, there are/were Magma, SBS, and Avid branded systems.
They all look identical, so I assume that they were all made by Magma.
Is thre a functional difference between these things?

Thanks

The Avid are the same as the Magma. The SBS was not the same as the Magma,
they are a completely different company. Deej had some problems with his
SBS, maybe he can chime in.

I had a 7 slot SBS. Any 7 slot chassis is going to have fewer PCI bus
options than a 13 slot chassis. It's all about keeping certain cards off
certain IRQ's. The more options you have, the better.

I am planning to use this pretty much only for a set of UAD-1 cards. I thought
that multiple UAD-1 cards took care of IRQ assignments themselves. But that
may be naive. :)
