let the transfer
process truncate them rather than dither. Really, dither
should be the *last

For day-to-day use, I buy whatever is on sale in bulk, but for serious work
I use
Tao Yudens and use a PlexWriter Premium to write with. Then I check for errors
using PlexTools Professional. This is the ONLY combination that has consistently
given me zero errors.
But honestly…it’s the writer even more than the disks. Errors with a regular
writer are typically very high, including my G5 Mac’s SuperDrive, even using
Tao Yudens.
GeneI have a mix that uses a bunch of UAD-1 FX - 6 or 7 Cambridge EQ's,
4 Pultec pro EQ's, a couple of 1176SE's and an LA-2a. The little UAD-1
meter says
