Long time Mac user but moving to PC since all new development is on that platform (Thanks Mike)
New territory for me so I thought post my intentions and get some feedback.
I am looking at ADK to put it together for me. Gigabyte-AMD 790XT MBO w/ 3 PCI slots
AMD Phenom 1090T 3.2 ghz 6 core.
700 Watt PSU
4 gig mem
Win 7 32 bit pro OS with Mikes XP Drivers.
My big concern is the pci slots (3) I have a 3 card system and read a little about IRQ conflicts. My brain cells have not been exposed to these bugs living in Mac land for so long so I thought Id get feedback from the PC experts on the forum.
I do have a 7 slot magma chassis / PCI Host card but wondered if there are any issues I need to know about. Special instructions for tweeking etc.
If I go with the Magma chassis for the cards ... it does open up more MBO/ Processor possibilities but like the idea of all in one box to save on space.
Thanks
Kurt
UPDATE: ADK Does not recommend the AMD AM3 series so the above build is Null and Void
They recommend intel i7. This would require running Paris cards in magma chassis due to only 1 available legacy pci slot.

I have heard the term Hackintosh but never checked it out. I googled it and looks like running Mac on a PC. I assume you are running Paris booted into Windows. Whats your set up. Tell me the advantages for you over just running on a PC without the Hackintosh. BTW I have several macs I use for everything else but my goal is a music only computer that puts all software on one (More Modern) platform. Not many options with mac OS9 and older macs that can run it.
Speaking of Hackintosh, here is my original "RackMac" I built from a dual 1.25ghz Mirror Drive Door Wind tunnel Mac. This is what I am using currently
