With XP i was using wavelab lite that came with my original system. having trouble finding a program where i can take the L and R files from Paris and turn them into a CD ready stereo wave......any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes. it does it all! (Have a close look at the screenshots). As long as it's .wav, it does it! It does batch processing too! I use it all the time. When converting bit depth, choose the high quality setting. Takes longer, but no biggie. I have Batch converted 48 one hour tracks of 24 bit 48khz to 16 bit 44khz in one operation. Zero problems. Takes a while, though, as one would expect. Just try it, and let your ears be the judge.
