Hi,

I have a 2 eds 1000 setup and I'm looking for a way to record directly onto Mix B. When I try to connect Mixer B it says you can't cross the eds 1000 boundry.

How can I record more that 16 tracks live?

Your MEC is attached to an EDS card, which is normally associated with a particular submix. Say MEC A, which has has 2 8i cards, is plugged into Card A which is assigned to Submix 1; it can record those 16 channels into Submix 1. If Card A is assigned to Submix 3, the attached MEC travels with it - now all 16 ins record into Submix 3. You can't patch across card boundaries.

Sounds like all you need to do is assign the card that's attached to the MEC with the 16 ins to the Submix you want to record into.

Hi Kerry,

Thanks a bunch! Just want you to know that I do live the law of RTFM...just that manual is version 1.0 so Global Submix Master might have been on the drawing board!

Works like a charm!
