I remember at roughly v. 4 thinking to myself, 'Well, there's really not much
more they can do with this, probably my last upgrade.' But I have to say,
each time they release a new version there are things in there that I just
wouldn't have thought of but are super duper cool. The web site is slow but
I'm upgrading as soon as they let me log in.

I upgraded to the 'Suite' version this time. The drum machines are EFFIN COOL.
I just they had a 1200 emulation, but I bet I could get that somewhere else.
I think with the rock band thing I"m going to be sticking to SX, partly because
the other main guy in the band uses it, but for my own electronic madness
creations, I thinking it's going to be more and more Live and nothing else.
My favorite DJ'ing software, www.djdecks.be even has a VST plug-in now, so
I can work audio tracks from time code vinyl. Putting all of that together
with Live's other super duper cool stuff, well, we're getting awfully close
to TCB heaven. The only thing I'm really missing is a good controller for
when I'm mixing.
