sounds great as is. no need to change it. I have the C3 and my friend has
the C1. Mines the same as C1 with more patterns. Awesome mic.

Hi Jim - Yes ,

We actually have one here that was modded by Mike Claytor. He put a tube in
it , sounds warmer and Brighter
if you can imagine that ?
Mike had a parts list on this way back when - if this feeble mind can recall
, somewhere about 2002 ?
I could be off a decade or so ~ time really flies around here :)

I was thinking of a Peluso Cap for mine too..or else if someone wants it
I'd be willing to let it go for the right price..I just never use it now.

I don't use mine anymore either. It's to strident (I guess that means bright
in a not good way) for me. I might be into doing a mod to a different capsule.

send it to me. I can't believe you think it's "strident". Open, natural
top end yes, strident no. Maybe you just like something with less highs.

Try a Peluso CK-67 capsule if you'd like to do something like
that... I've had that capsule in a mic before & it sounded nice.

The main reason I asked is because one of mine is needing repaired and I got
it at a very good price. Since it needs repaired anyhow I though I would
see about modding it. I love the sound of them, but thought I'd ask. Jim
