Sooo, I am picking up the 6 year old from her school, and she
did well today so I buy her a nice chocolate milk on the way home.

I stop at a light, I am in the right lane, the light goes green,
everyone starts moving, and the kid starts fumbling with her
drink. Not wanting chocolate milk in the nice car seats I look
over to see if I need to help her, and the car in front of me

just

stops......

BANG!

There goes my day...

No airbags and no one hurt, but I put the much on a nice Benz
and mny Honda Odyssey looks even worse...

DAMMITALL! Not his fault, he was waiting to turn.

Something went through the A/C compressor, so the car drives
but no A/C. It will need a bumper and who knows what.
I really feel guilty because I hit a Real Estate agent. Nice guy
too... They are all just starving out here right now and I am
sure this is the last thing he needed to happen.

Schmuck!

Live and learn. Don't lose concentration while driving. Not for
a dang moment!

Hey DC
You are so right. I sent a little doggie to the other side a few years
back. My eyes were off the road for probably one second. In that weensie
little bit of time, I could have braked just enough to have avoided him...
Hope all your leftovers get taken care of quickly.

Be glad your daughter's head didn't impact the windshield. This happened to
me in a rearender when I was just a little kid and .........well........you
know what I'm like now............

Bummer about your car man, but bigger things are in play here.

Glad nobody got hurt.

I've done that one too, except I did not lose even a moment of concentration,
he just ran out like a bullet....

I cried for hours, I must admit. Sometimes this world really sucks.

thanks for the nice words.

Absolutely. We were only doing about 15 when we hit. I am betting
the damage comes to 4K on my car alone though.

I took out a windshield with my face when I was 1o... 13o stitches from
chin to forehead. I know where you are coming from. Thank God that
no one got a scratch today. Our cars are SO much safer today. I would
probably not been hurt badly at all in a modern car, but in a 62 Chevy?
That's gonna hurt...

My wife calls me up on the cell while I am at NAMM.
(about an hour away) she has locked herself out of the
house....

My friend asks me what is wrong. "Oh, the wife has locked
herself out of the house."

he goes:

"Oh, I am so sorry you have to leave. I know how much you
like the NAMM show"

And I go, HEY, I am not leaving. We have this rule...

So she called the locksmith. No harm no foul.

The trick of course is getting teenagers to understand the
rule...
