Hi all - if your account was refused, the reason's pretty simple. I manually approve all applicants to keep out vile spammers. I sometimes have to delete forty or fifty spam applications at a time and my method of detecting spammers (which I won't detail because I don't want to help spammers evolve and adapt) is pretty good but isn't foolproof, so I err on the side of caution.
[To be clear - this is an inclusive place, with all Paris users welcome: no application has ever been deleted for any reason except suspicion of being a potential spammer or bot]
This all serves one sole purpose, which is to keep out spammers, so if you're a legit Paris person and your account application was misidentified, go ahead and drop me a note and we'll sort it out fast.
