Can anyone tell me if there are any issues with the latest UAD version and
Paris, I'd like to download it to try out the Neve EQ on a mix I am about
to do.
My system is stable, (knock on wood) so I am alway wary downloading anything.

Also DJ, you said the Neve was the holy grail, after a month or so with it
do you still feel the same, can you get close with the paris EQ?

I have been sort of on a hardware only kick lately, as I can't tell what
platform I'll be on in a year, but if the Neve is that good I may just have
to buy one of these Flex Packs from Morgan.

Oh , has anyone figured out VST on the drum bus?

If you are running Paris on Win 9x, it will not work. V3.9 is the last
version that will work. Otherwise, I don't know, but *theoretically* it
should work on XP. As usual, Ghost your system first.

Yeah, I'm loving it.

Interesting question. The paris EQ makeup gain has some similarities to the
Neve 1073 gain , though the Neve is smooth whereas the Paris is *gnarlier,
IMO *. The thing I like about the 1073 is that it's the only digital EQ I've
used that I consider to sound good when *boosting* frequencies. The Paris EQ
doesn't sound *bad*, to my ears when boosting, but it doesn't really add
something that sounds *better* either.

Yes........but it involves two computers performing unnatural acts.

;o)
