I do mostly acoustic music, and I’ve not been blown away with the
reverb I’ve gotten from the Lexicon PCM70 (I’ve heard people
love them on drums & certain things) and am thinking to
sell/trade it towards something else. I’ve heard great things
about TC M3000 and Kurzweil KSP8. I’m wondering if the KSP8 has
enough advantages over the M3000 to justify the higher price tag,
when what I basically need are nice reverbs for acoustic music.
Or is there another killer unit out there that might accomplish
this (for, say under a grand)?

Thanks,
Dale

I have the M3000 and love it. It's very clean. I do mostly acoustic stuff
myself.

The Kurzweil Rumor might be all you need.....if Kurzweil is your choice.

Another vote for the M3000-

If you like the Paris EDS plate reverb at all, you will
LOVE the M3000- it is so unobtrusive but real.

However, my friend Darren Rahn makes a living as a producer,
among other things, and really loves the KSP8...

I've heard the KSP-8 and it is very nice and natural. Brian T sold his =
M 6000 as I recall
after substituting it's reverbs with the KSP-8. I think that was the =
deal anyway.
Kurly Rumor is serious bang/buck if reverb is the only thing you're =
looking for.

I love my M3000. But depending on how you plan to use it, a good convolution
reverb might work as well for you and cost less.

The Kurzweil is much more versatile. Rooms and plates, halls are all winners.
The TC is 2 trick pony in comparison.

I have both units interfaced on my mix rig all
the time. If I had to give up one, the TC would
get the walking papers, even though I love it, too...:)

Is "convolution reverb" hardware or a plug? If the latter, my options may
be limited since I'm on a mac

Is the Rumour's verbs the same as the KSP8's?
