Yes, but what if I like my Dynaudios? Can't use the JBL's in
that case; which - I must say - I've mixed on two different
kinds of JBL's at various times... Control 5's, and some big
mains, but I can't recall the model number of those, and I
really had trouble getting good mixes out of them,
personally... resulted in a lot of ear fatigue. I've always
heard that JBL's in gereral tend to have really tight cones, and
when you hear something like a Fender Twin with JBL's, it kinda
has the same strident sort of sound... very fatiguing to listen
to - anyone else ever experience this?
Anyway, there was a freeware app that does the analysing part
of this (but not the automatic tuning - which would be GREAT!);
but at least it'll tell you where your modes & dips are - I
can't recall the name of it, but I could try to find it if
anyone's interested. You just need a good omni measurement mic
& an uncolored, fast preamp to use it with.
