Hi All,

I think the driver is ready for prime time. Thank you so much to everyone
who tested the driver and reported back their results. I have to admit that
I haven't kept a list of who that is. If you beta tested either the PSCL
or the Scherzo, please send me an email (mike at mikeaudet dot com), and
I'll send you a release build of the driver. The release build has a couple
of additional bugs fixed, and it's compiled in a way that is faster and uses
less RAM (because there is no debugging code). I don't want anyone who helped
make this happen to have to pay for the driver.

Some may think I should just give the driver away. But, I'm a new teacher
living paycheque to paycheque, and I don't think it's fair that I should
be working for free. I've revamped ensoniq.ca, and I'll be adding more audio
samples over the holidays. It should allow downloads without waiting for
me to send an email. I'll be starting a google adwords campaign to get the
word out to PARIS users who don't come here. With a little luck, I'll get
a Grace m101 out of the thing.

My next steps are helping Kerry out with his mirror site and getting the
ASIO driver updated - I'm aiming for low latency and 24 bit.

Thanks again to everyone.

Cheers! We did it!

Mike

Hey Mike

I plan to upgrade both my machines to multicore rigs in the new year and you
can count on my financial support.

Absolutely you should not be giving away your work for free. I know
firsthand what a hard line that is when doing something you love, but to
continue the devolopment man, you gotta get something in return to keep
feeling that you want to push forward for your hard work. There is also an
issue of respect that things free do not earn.

Mike, even though I don't still use Paris, or even own one now,
Thankyou...you're a genius .

Mike -

I moved over to Cubase in part because of the lack of support for mulitcore
machines by PARIS. Your work is making me rethink things. I'll be happy to
purchase the new drivers and see how PARIS likes its new environment :-)

It would be a bargain at twice what you're asking - you should *definitely*
get a Grace 101 out of the deal, at the very least!

Let's talk about the Google adwords campaign - I'll be starting a similar
push when the forums debut and with some brainstorming we can find a way to
get maximum exposure (and thus more of our far-flung brethren and sistren
back in the fold).

My wife is a teacher. One of the best. I honor your choice in careers. Teach
them well. They are the future.

I'd like to buy all your plug-ins (even the ones I already own), but would
probably wait till you have them as direct downloads? Either way is fine.
I need that reverb, though...

I guess I was a beta tester. I didn't have an ADAT card, but you sure fixed
my problem (dual CPUs). I want to pay you for your work, if I can.
