Sorry scroll down to the article, "Nearly 70 Percent of All Ringtones Downloaded
Are Purchased by Women, According to Telephia"I actually, far as I'm aware, by using the backup server, I kept the newsgroup
online (web access only) throughout the ordeal, just for people like you.
;o) We wouldn't want you going and dying now. ;o) So there was no actual
need to go eat mexican... other than the fact that mexican food can be very
tasty. ;o)
In fact, David, I was a little dissapointed not to see you post at all during
the "web only" period... after all I went to all that trouble to keep it
online only because of your suggestion. ;o)
We actually still don't have the UPS working here, so if the power goes out
we're gone. When I went to get it my brother was still asleep, and it was
in his bedroom. I'll go and get the UPS today.
Would yo beleive the server now lives in my kitchen. Odd place for a server
I know, but due to the router location it was either that or my bedroom,
and I've had about enough of being woken up by NG hdd activity at 2am when

player that would store hundreds of uncompressed songs.
Remember, a CD is only 700megs. So, a 60 gigabyte player could
hold about 85 CD's of redbook audio. I think it will happen, and it
will rock.
BTW, any of you seeing big record stores closing? I was at
Universal CityWalk in Hollywood today and the big Sam Goody
had closed and been replaced with an Abercrombie. There was a
new, much smaller Sam Goody down at the end of the Walk, but
they used to be an anchor store, now they are a small shop.
It's all about bandwidth. When you have enough of it, everything
the digital world took away, it will give back, and possibly more.
In theory at least...
BTW, I noticed that my 14-year old

So far the software seems to be working OK. The drop down menus only stay
open while the mouse button is pressed? When I load the project "See it My
Way" I get the message "some of the effects used in this Project may not be
available in this configuration of Paris. . . blah blah". Then , it takes
about 4 clicks on "close" to get the message gone, and then the mixer window
opens. If I open the Patchbay window the large area is blank. When I click
any of the objects, it says that this object has nothing to configure. If I
load the default MEC configuration or input cfg it appears in the window
below the objects, but still nothing in the PB window???
I have the MEC and C-16 connected, but no inputs or outputs on the MEC yet.
The C-16 seems to be functioning normally. The MEC has a flashing yellow
led on internal sync??? Help, Edna"Kim" <hiddensounds@hotmail.com> wrote:

I opted for the New Creative Zen Sleek instead of the Ipod.my reasons were:
-the sleek has a builtin in FM radio
-buitin (Stereo) Mic for over 20 hours of recordingMP3-128k) or wav 4 hours
-Killer ad/da conversion.
-20 gig hard drive.
-$240.00
I use my Zen Sleek with a pset of Shure E2's..big time difference than the
nice supplied ear buds.

We all love our Ipods, even those frinds of mine who said "Never!" are converted.
I don't get why you wouldn't want one. having 4000 songs in your hand. The
shuffle feature gets me to listen to so many songs I have neglected.
Often they are the ones at the ends of CDs that I never get to.
I also don't get why someone who travels with a band would not find a cell
phone almost a must have. Ever had a blow out on the highway and had to let
other band members know? A cell phone is a gr

only option allowed in the drop down menu (I have no other clock connected
to the MEC). It seems this internal clock issue may be software related.
After I rebooted the computer several times it started working - solid on,
sample rate leds work, I can hear music through earphones(I pulled in a wav
file into a new project). When I click on Paris to start the program now,
I'm getting a series of error messages saying the patchbay setups are not
valid Windows images?? Then, the app disappears although still running
according to a message box when you try to restart Paris. I can close Paris
under the Processes running window in XP. I did this several times and
restarted and finally the project window appeared and the MEC began
working.(?) Anyway, the clock light is staying locked now. Im stumped on
what to do now as this scenario has happened twice. Is there something I
need to do in the Patchbay window? Or is it set to default mode
automatically? Also you mentioned installing the project presets, which I
found in the projects folder, according to the readme file. Where should I
look for the readme file?
Thanks again,
Edna
