Hey Kim, thanks for the answer. Yes I've always been able to monitor all submixes (A to D in my case) via one MEC A OUT. However, I was unable to hear the inputs of the other interfaces (other non A MECs and 442s). For example, when connecting external FX hardware to those interfaces.
After many attempts, I'm now able to monitor all interfaces via MEC A only.
This is what worked for me, MEC A is obviously the main MEC, the following interface needed to be B, and in addition I had to use BNC cables in cascade. For example, MEC A BNC OUT > 442 BNC IN, and so forth.
Without any BNC cables, I could always see the other interfaces but was unable to hear their INs and OUTs when connecting external fx (send & return). After connecting the BNC cables, I could hear all audio.
Best!
