I'm currently interfacing my outboard gear as follows:

sending an 88.2 double wire ADAT signal from a pair of RME HDSP 9652 ADAT
outs to the Main and Aux ADAT inputs of an RME ADI 192-DD, sample
rate/format converted in this box to 4 x stereo pairs of AES/EBU at 44.1KHz
and sent to the AES/EBU inputs of a Lexicon PCM 91, a Sony V77, a Roland
R-880 and a Quantec Yardstick. The AES/EBU stereo 44.1KHz output signals
from the 4 x outboard processors was returned via their 4 x stereo AES
outputs to the 4 x AES inputs of an RME ADI 8-DD and there it was upsampled
and format converted to 88.2KHz DS ADAT and returned from the ADAT Main and
Aux outs to the DAW.

Works like a dream. This may seem like an excessive effort to make, but to
me it's not. I like these old outboard processors and when working at higher
sample rates, using my outboard is especially nice because high sample rates
suck twice (or more) of the computer resources.

...........and so I don't have to buy a Mac.

;o)

DJ, Those are nice units. You would probably dig a Klarke Technic DN780.
That is a super nice vintage reverb. And no MIDI anywhere on it. The
plates smoke on drums.

I owned one that burned up in '87. Missed it since then.
