I sent this to Layla regarding the problem, including the computer
configuration.
First name: Rich
Last name: Lamanna
Phone number: C: 518 496-6684, W:518 381-9719
Email address: richlamanna@earthlink.net
Echo hardware: Layla 24
Echo driver version: 7.3
Audio software: Gigasampler, SoundMax integrated Digital Audio (Asus
motherboard supplied audio driver)
Operating system and version: Win XP Pro
Processor model and clock speed: AMD Duron TM MP, 1.7 GHz, 1.5 GB ram
Motherboard manufacturer: Asus A7V8X-X
Motherboard chipset (e.g. VIA PT880 Pro/Ultra chipset): Northbridge VIA
KT400, Southbridge VIA VT8235
Other PCI and FireWire devices: Promise Sata300 TX2plus IDE Controller
Other audio hardware:
Description of your problem: I cannot get Layla to transmit digital audio
via S/PDIF to my Alesis Masterlink. The console meters on digital out 1/2 do
not light up, no digital audio is being transmitted as far as I can tell.
Analog audio works fine. Concurrently I cannot find the VxD Console in the
Start Menu. Isn't that included in the driver intallation? Should I
reinstall the drivers and will this mess up my Gigasampler install?
