I am still gathering components to make a whole new system from scratch. This is why this thread is posted so that forum users with Win7 PC systems share their experience with Paris and their PC Configuration. Razz

Been a long long long longlong long time since I rambled through the forums here... Gotta say, I LOVE that there is still development.

I Have been dreaming about getting the Paris rig installed in a machine again, and it would be amazing to throw it on my 64 bit.

Keep up the good work!

is running Windows 7 32 fine on a Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H, with an AMD Phenom IIx2 555, and 2gigs of ADATA memory. It's small system and I'm not a power user but it seems very stable. I was borrowing an EDS card and had to return it to my friend so it is currently not in use but will be again soon.

I am wanting to move my Paris rig over to win 7 32 so I will follow progress of your build. Was leaning toward GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 with i7 2600k processor. Would I be better off with an anthalon build?

I can't answer that. I went with the components I did strictly for financial reasons. I already had a PS and DVD so have just under 200.00 in it. We must remember what PARIS was designed to run on.

Currently putting together a Paris rig on a Gigabyte P55-UD3 Mobo with Win7 32bit (for now)....currently just using the BetaXP drivers for test drive purposes ...

On first attempt EDS cards got way hot, but I think there was a problem with the Radeon 5770 I was using - so went back to GTX460 graphics (sadly blocking another PCI slot) and system is stable.

However still getting error 7/7 or 1/1
...well update - after deleting and reinstalling all the Paris stuff, I was still getting error 1/1 - but found that I had 3 Scherzo drivers for just 2 EDS cards - so disabled one.
OK - so after pluggin the MEC back in (doh!) I now am getting error 18/12 "Error initialising Paris Engine" ...well it's progress, but still no cigar.
Update - tracked down the error 12/18 to Adat cards with beta XP driver - checked an MEC without cards and Ureka - was able to run Paris for the first time on the new machine - so now to get the new drivers and install v3...

To All Paris Win 7/32 bit users

Error Code
ID:eWin:24/BlkD:1290
Message says" The program issued a command but the command length is incorrect"
Any Ideas?
Think it might be Pace problem?

ID:eWin:24/BlkD:1285 has to do with the root folder name length according the the FAQ on the Pace web site so I am guessing it might be similar to that.
New Win 7/32 bit i5 Box migrating from os9
Asus P8Z68 pro gen MOBO

TURN OFF ANTI VIRUS. lost 2 days on that.

Got all software loaded and new Scherzo Multi core, pscl, adat.dll by Mike Audit/Chris Thoman.

Searched forums for as much information as I could get.

Thanks Phillip and all others for your posts on your build.

Im close but got to get past that error.

Big jump from os9 to win 7 but determined to get it up and going.

BTW FYI the error code was either Root file name too long or installing the pace driver 1st before anything else. C drive was named "32 bit system" and renamed it to "32 bit"

I am not sure which did the trick as I did both on the last attempt.

Got my authorization today!

Now have a 2 card 2 mec system/ aardsync wordclock / running win 7 32.
Haven't tried adat cards and Allen Heath Zed r-16, thats next.
Worked on mac... should work on PC

test recording 32 tracks at once ... no hiccups

Adat worked with Zed R-16
Adat send from Zed to Paris... perfect.

Some kind of issue with adat return to zed from paris
Had the same issue on mac/Paris build.
Minor issue though and tracking from the Zed to Paris is the main thing.
