Hi people! First of all take my honest apology for bad English Embarassed

I did some research on this forum (really a lot of good info) but i would like to have your input. It is important that you answer only if you are sure what you are saying, because we (me and my friend) will do exactly as you advice us, and that is including ordering new gear if needed. So take your time and please answer only if you are sure.

I will try to explain and to ask...

We have upgraded our DAW system and now we don't have PCI slot anymore. I mean we have 3x PCI but these are reserved for Paris cards Razz

Our ex way of working(not possible anymore) has been made like this:

With TWO PC Computers, we worked in a way that we routed channels from Cubase (VST instruments or audio etc.) via RME HDSP 9652 out to Paris ADAT input. Obviously then we saw these channels inside Paris mixer and from that point we worked in Paris. I see that many people here are working that way.

Now my question is - Is it possible to re/route everything from Cubase mixer(i mean at least 8ch), to Paris mixer inside SAME computer configuration? Via some kind of software routing?

Without routing cubase mixer to cables and then to Paris adat!?

If not what is best solution out there? My idea is to buy RME HDSPe AIO (we have PCI express slots available) and then to do it like we did in old way, but inside same computer. Is this possible? Does anybody have any experience with RME AIO cards working in a way i described?

Or maybe some Motu Firewire solution will work?

Please tell us what you think, or what gear do you recommend for this?

Thank you for your time Cool

Maky

Try MidiOx MIDI Yoke. It's XP compatible and allows multiple virtual MIDI connections. That way you can send MTC from PARIS to Cubase and sync them together.
