DJ,

You mentioned in a recent post that a certain Jim Williams had modded your
LXP-1. I posted a followup note which perhaps you didn't see--I was wondering
what kind of mod he did (and how much it cost), and what you liked about
it. I use one in my live rig-it's old but still sounds better that a lot
of the newer lexicons, IMO. And it's small, which counts for something too.

brings the unit closer to a +4 operational voltage.

Hi,
I had once sent LXP1 to JIm for the upgrade , then I made myself the LXP5.
Only thing I did not figure was the input resistor change to lower the input
signal as to accept +4 signals.
All others have been done just looking as what he changed ...
Is this protected ??
Anyway he changed the da converter to a K type which means selected for low
noise and distortion.
The comparator has been changed ( Ihvae som eof these if I find them).
I have to open one to see what else.
I also made this on a Lexicon Alex !
Nice changes.
What you hear after is a smooth tail !!
With no artifacts whatesoever.
