I decided to try Windows XP SP3 on my new install. Check out what keeps coming
up in the debugger over and over and over again that I never saw in SP2.
SetContentId drmRights.CopyProtect=0
So, who else thinks that Microsoft is planning their own iTunes? My guess
is they're trying to lock down all Windows boxes to preemptively fight piracy
for their upcoming store.
PARIS works fine for me in SP3, but if I could do it again, I'd stop with
SP2.

Here's a glimpse of where they are going, looks kind of familiar:
Microsoft unveils `cloud computing' product
http://apnews.excite.com/article/20081027/D942UOPG0.html
How original, the concept of a cloud, a place to store and host all your
media, I wonder where they got that idea???
Hmmmm... looks familiar:

It looks like MS is going to start with Amazon to sell music, maybe they
will call it ZuneTunes later.

It sounded like Ms was going to sell storage space, web based software programs,
and media through Amazon. Now Microsoft says they will compete with Amazon.
It will be interesting to see what Windows Azure is.

Yeah, well... Most of you who know me, know that I've been a mac user
for a few years. (I'm really an old Unix guy is what it is, and I like
BSD unix better than Linux.)
I think that MobileME has been one of the most anticipated, yet the most
bungled, products that Apple has developed. On top of the crappy web
mail interface, the increased SPAM, and all the system downtime, I
personally think that "me.com" is the most pretentious, selfish, B.S.
name for a website, and I will never use it for my email or web addresses...
How's that? :)

I thought the cloud name and concept was childish and rather insulting to
the intelligence of Mac users. Apparently MS thinks the name and concept
is worth copying. Lol! Once again, I think Apple is going in some wrong
directions, like canning FireWire and cutting down the Power/features on
the white MacBooks. In the end they will get the software straitened out,
but to put out buggy crap software sure reminds me of Microsoft.

I believe Mark is a "Ghost" person;-) Seriously, I believe he allways
have a good, old Ghost-version ready, if some shit should happened
with the computer. DosGhost and newer computers isn't a good affair,
so I'm using Paragon Hard Disk Manager from
http://www.paragon-software.com/ to do the "Ghost", Partition and
Defraging job.

Cloud computing is a general concept, an industry term, and has been for at
least the past two years. It didn't originate with Apple or Microsoft.

Don, I did a rollback or an uninstall. I can't remember which. Seems like
there is an option in the SP setup to keep old files in the eventuality of a
removal. If your SP3 install didn't take this option, it may be the case
that you cannot remove it. Check your add/remove programs for SP3. If it
is there, I don't see why you couldn't just do an uninstall.
As Erling pointed out... I am a pervasive ghoster. I would, if I were you,
GHOST the currect SP3 OS before doing the SP3 removal/uninstall.
